Earl Shilton Town Council

Earl Shilton Town Council is made up of 14 unpaid members. The council is supported by a part-time Clerk / Executive Officer and a part-time assistant Clerk.

The full council meets every 6 weeks. The council has 2 main committees, The Leisure, Parks, Cemetery and Open Spaces committee (LPCOSC) and The Finance and General Purpose Committee (FGPC). The committees meet every 6 weeks also.

All meetings are open to the public and press. The full council has a 15 minute spot at the start of its agenda to allow members of the public to raise matters of concern.

The council is responsible for maintaining all of the parks and open spaces within the town along with the cemetery. It is also responsible for the flower planters and hanging baskets situated throughout the town centre.
