Improvements to The Hall Field

Work has started on the improvement work to Hall Field in Earl Shilton.

This will consist of providing new foot-ways and improvements to existing foot-ways.

New flower / shrub beds will be provided along with improvements to the main entrances to the field.

New play / adventure equipment is also being provided.

These improvements will be completed by the end of the year.

Vandals Attact Youth Shelter
Vandals Attact Youth Shelter

Vandals have spent a night damaging the youth shelter in Wood Street Community Park.
Not only have they removed the light from the shelter but they have also smashed the rear clear panel, which was made of polycarbonate, supposed to be 'vandal-proof' .
The cost of replacing the panel alone will be in the region of £1000.
Luckily the vandalism was caught on the councils CCTV system and a clear image of the vandals has been passed onto the police for their action.

Council Office Move

The Town Council Office has relocated from the Community House to its new home in Wood Street.
The move to the new office, located at the Methodist Church, will allow more access for residents who need to contact the council or to view planning applications.
The Mayor, Cllr Roger Ellis, says "this move puts the council where it rightly should be at the very heart of the town"

Shaping Local Services; Hinckley (Jan 2008)

This short footage shows what can be achieved through effective partnership working and highlight Leicestershire Together’s framework of engagement with local communities.

It has a focus on Community Forums - their rationale/development/benefits as well as filming of the Hinckley forum ‘area’ and its meeting.
