Earl Shilton Area Action Plan
The Borough Council submitted the Earl Shilton and Barwell Area AAP to the Secretary of State for Examination in Public on 11 December 2013. The AAP will be subject to an independent examination by a Planning Inspector, which will be a continuous process running from submission to the appointed Planning Inspector's report. Part of this process will involve hearing sessions where those invited to participate by the appointed Planning Inspector will have the opportunity to respond to matters identified by the Inspector.
All information regarding the examination process, including dates and times of the hearing sessions and all of the relevant documents, can be found on the Examination in Public (EiP)page.
Part-Time Street Lighting
Please visit the LCC site for full details. As a money saving measure, LCC have proposed to switch off certain street lights between midnight and 5am. A map of proposed lights can be found here. A consultation period is open until 30th August 2013, where we are gathering views of residents, particularly where a sensitive area might require lighting staying switched on (sheltered accommodation, junctions etc). ———————————————————————————————————————————————
