Wood Street Youth Project - UPDATE: WE WON THE £50,000! THANKS TO EVERYONE!
Our project application to the £50,000 People's Millions lottery grant fund was successful thanks to all of you who voted. A new skatepark, bmx track and junior play equipment will be installed on Wood Street Park following further consultation with young people.
The PreSubmission Earl Shilton Area Action Plan
HBBC is collating all the responses received during the consultation period prior to submitting the AAP and the consultation responses to the Secretary of State who will appoint an Independent Planning Inspector to examine the 'soundness' of the AAP. Part-Time Street Lighting
Please visit the LCC site for full details. As a money saving measure, LCC have proposed to switch off certain street lights between midnight and 5am. A map of proposed lights can be found here. A consultation period is open until 30th August 2013, where we are gathering views of residents, particularly where a sensitive area might require lighting staying switched on (sheltered accommodation, junctions etc). ———————————————————————————————————————————————
Earl Shilton Town Council are give residents the opportunity to speak with councillors every third Saturday of each month at our councillor surgeries. Councillors have a table in the lounge at Earl Shilton Methodist Hall during the tea and coffee morning, from 10a.m - 12p.m
Earl Shilton Pavilion Project
Earl Shilton Town Council are in the process of designing a new pavilion, with two large function rooms suitable for a range of different activities. Although the project is not due to begin building until August 2013, we would like to get an idea of what kind of groups, clubs, organisations, individuals would be interested in making use of the rooms. Parks and Play
Earl Shilton Town Council provide facilites in a number of parks in the town. We are proud to provide a number of toddlers play areas, football pitches, climbing boulders, a skaters halfpipe and bike jumps, as well as teen shelters, community gardens and plenty of plain open space for those sunny afternoons.
